Tottenham were Eliminated from Europa League

  Tottenham were held 2-2 by Benfica in Europa League Round of 16 Second Leg tie. The only England team left in 2013/14 Europa League, were eliminated at Round of 16, after lost 3-5 aggregate to Benfica.
  Ezequiel Garay put Benfica ahead at 34th minute through a powerful header from 6-yards.
  Nacer Chadli struck two second goals for Tottenham within a minute, and added Spurs' hope to overturn the results. The Tottenham midfielder struck his first goal at 78th minute, through a powerful right footed shot from 20-yards into lower left corner of the net.
  Within a minute, subsitute Harry Kane found Chadli's path and the midfielder scored Tottenham's second goal with a fine left footed volley, passed keeper Jan Oblak into the net.
  The visitors earned a stoppage-time penalty, when Spurs midfielder Sandro brought down Lima inside the box area. The Benfica forwarder calmly fired the ball to the lower right corner and sealed the second tie results as 2-2.

RVP Struck Hat-Trick

  Robin Van Persie completed a hat-trick in the dramatic Second Leg Tie, to lead Red Devils to enter Champions League quarter-finals, with aggregate 3-2. Olympiakos beaten United 2-0 during UEFA Champions League Round of 16 First Leg tie three weeks ago.
  Manchester United was given a penalty, when Olympiakos defender Jose Holebas fouled RVP inside box area at 25th minute. The Dutch top scorer calmly converted the penalty as United's first goal.
  Just before first half was ended, Ryan Giggs and Wayne Rooney set up the second goal for the hosts. Rooney's precise delivery found RVP's path and the Dutch striker shot from the centre of the box to the bottom right corner of the net.
  At 51st minute, Robin Van Persie completed the hat-trick, with a superb left footed free kick shot, passed keeper Roberto Gago into the bottom left corner.
  During the dramatic night, veteran player Ryan Giggs had played the full 90 minutes and played a key role United's crucial victory. At 6th minute, Antonia Valencia has gained a serious eyes injury after a battle with Joel Campbell, but the United winger decided to continue playing after treatment. Unfortunately, the hat-trick hero Robin Van Persie was injured and left the pitch at 90th minute, after a rough tackle by Olympiakos midfielder Giannis Maniatis.

Chelsea Won 2-0 Against Galatasaray

  Chelsea beaten Galatasaray 2-0 at Stamford Bridge. The Blues marched on to Champions League quarter-finals with aggregate win 3-1 against Galatasaray.
  Galatasaray striker or former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba, was the main protagonist before the match, facing his former club and former boss Jose Mourinho in the battle. Besides that, it's the Roberto Mancini's first battle at England since he departed from Manchester City.
  Samuel Eto'o scored the opener for Chelsea at 4th minute, assisted by Oscar. The Chelsea forwarder found Oscar's through ball and fired the ball passed goalkeeper Fernando Muslera to to the centre of the goal.
  Gary Cahill added another goal for Chelsea at three minutes before first half was ended. When John Terry's header was saved by Muslera, Cahill followed with a powerful right footed shot to the high centre of the net.

Tottenham Lost 1-3 at Home

  Tottenham's hope of winning the Europa League trophy seems to be dented, after Benfica beaten Spurs 3-1 at White Hart Lane, in the Europa League Round of 16 First Leg tie.
  Rodrigo opened the scoring for Benfica at 29th minute. The Benfica forwarder received Ruben Amorim's through ball delivery and shot passed Spurs keeper Hugo Lloris into the net.
  Defender Luisão added another goal for Benfica at 58th minute. The unmarked Luisão headed in the impressive goal, assisted by Ruben Amorim once again.
  Five minutes later, Christian Eriksen scored the Spur's only goal, through a superb free-kick.
  Six minutes before second half was ended, Luisão struck his second goal of the night and sealed Benfica's 3-1 away victory.
  Tottenham will play against Benfica in Round of 16 Second Leg tie on 20 March 2014, at Estadio da Luz.

  Arsenal saw off Everton 4-1 at Emirates Stadium. The simple victory helped Arsenal to earn a place in FA Cup Semi Finals.
  Mesut Özil opened the scoring for the Gunners at 7th minute, assisted by Santi Cazorla. Romelu Lukaku struck the equalizer for Everton at 32nd minute, after he get a fine cross from Ross Barkley.
  Arsenal were awarded with a penalty at 68th minute, when Gareth Barry brought down Oxlade-Chamberlain inside the box area. Mikel Arteta calmly sent the ball to the upper right corner and helped the hosts to lead again.
  At seven minutes before second half was ended, Olivier Giroud struck two goals within two minute. At 83rd minute, Giroud left footed shot passed Everton keeper Joel Robles into lower right corner, assisted by Bacary Sagna. Two minutes later, Giroud found Mesut Özil's cross at centre penalty area before he fired the ball to lower left corner of the net, and seal Arsenal's victory as 4-1.

  Manchester United earned a comfortable away victory, after beaten West Brom 3-0 at The Hawthorns.
  Phil Jones headed in United 's first goal at 34th minute, assisted by Robin Van Persie.
  Wayne Rooney struck Man United's second goal through another powerful header, from a close area to the top left corner. Rooney assisted in the third goal with a through ball found Danny Welbeck. The England striker right footed shot passed former United keeper Ben Foster into the bottom right corner of the net.

  Tottenham suffered another huge lose, after Chelsea hammered them 4-0 at Stamford Bridge.
  Samuel Eto'o put Chelsea ahead at 56th minute, with a brilliant shot passed Hugo Lloris into the bottom left corner.
  Four minutes later, Eto involved in the second goal, since Chelsea were awarded with a penalty when Younes Kaboul brought Eto down inside the box area. Tottenham were reduced to ten men since Kaboul was given a straight red card after the incident.
  Substitute forwarder Demba Ba struck two goals just before second half was ended and seal the 4-0 comfort victory for Chelsea.

Man City Come Back to Win 3-1


  Manchester City came back to win 3-1 against Sunderland, to earn their first trophy of the season.
  The Black Cats stunned City with Fabio Borini's 10th minute opener. Borini fired the shot from right penalty area passed City keeper Costel Pantilimon into lower left corner and gave Sunderland a half-time lead.
  Yaya Touré struck the crucial equalizer for Manchester City at 55th minute. Touré fired the powerful goal from the centre of the field, assisted by Pablo Zabaleta.
  One minute later, Samir Nasri found Aleksandar Kolarov's cross and struck to help City leading in the score board. Nasri was named Man of The Match following his superb midfielder performances.
  At 90th minute, Spanish midfielder Jesús Navas scored City's third goal from the centre of box area, assisted by Yaya Touré. Navas's goal helped Manchester City to seal 3-1 victory and Pellegrini earned his first trophy as City Manager.

  Aston Villa saw off Norwich City 4-1 at home, with Christian Benteke scored two goals within two minutes. Wesley Hoolahan took only three minutes to put Norwich ahead, through a fine finished from centre of the box. At 25th minute, Benteke struck the equalizer with a brilliant chest-control on Ron Vlaar's cross, before his volley the ball into the net. Two minutes later, Benteke scored his second goal through a header from close range into bottom left corner of the net. Defender Leandro Bacuna struck Villa's third goal at 37th minute, assisted by Andreas Weimann. Norwich defender Sebastien Bassong's own goal at four minutes later, helped the hosts to seal the 4-1 victory.

  Tottenham beaten Cardiff City 1-0 at White Hart Lane. Roberto Soldado's only goal at helped the Spurs remained at the fifth place, with only four points behind Manchester City. Cardiff remained at 19th place with only 22 points after played 28 Premier League matches.

  Swansea were held 1-1 by struggling team Crystal Palace at Liberty Stadium. Jonathan De Guzman opened the scoring for Swansea at 27th minute, with a fine finished to the bottom left corner of the net, assisted by Leon Britton. At 81st minute, Chico was sent off with a straight red card after the Swansea defender brought down Glenn Murray. Palace were given a penalty following Chico's fault. Murray made no mistake and calmly converted the opportunity as equalizer for the visitors.

  Chelsea Hammered Fulham 3-1 at Craven Cottage to remained at the summit of EPL Table. Andre Schürrle scored a second half hat-trick within 16 minutes to helped the blues to win full three points. Fulham continue struggling at the bottom of the table, after earned only 21 points after 28 matches.

  Stoke City might have dented Arsenal's title race, after the Potters beaten the Gunners 1-0 at Britannia Stadium. Man of the Match, Jonathan Walters converted the 76th minute penalty as the only goal of the match.

  Liverpool earned another remarkable away victory, after the Reds saw off Southampton 3-0 at St. Mary's Stadium. Luis Suárez involved in all three goals, since the Uruguayan scored Liverpool's opening goal at 16th minute, assisted in Raheem Sterling's goal and helped the visitors to gain a penalty after he was brought down by Jose Fonte during stoppage-time.
