Swansea was defeated 2-1 at Ilie Oana Stadium in this this Europa League Play-Off Second Leg match. Brazil defeat the world and European champions Spain with a crushing 3-0 win in the Confederations Cup final. This is the fourth time the incoming World Cup hosts has won the trophy as they clinched the trophy for the third time in a row. Brazil striker Fred scored twice as Neymar fired another goal just before half-time. Spain Sergio Ramos missed a penalty at 55th minute, before defender Gerard Piqué was sent off at 68th minute.
Spain striker Fernando Torres was awarded the Golden Boot award after the match. Both Torres and Brazil striker Fred scored five goals and made one assist over the tournament, but Torres was given the award due to played fewer minutes.
