  Manchester City hammered Tottenham 5-1 at White Hart Lane to move up to the summit at EPL Table! All goals were contributed by five different players: Sergio Aguero, Yaya Toure, Edin Dzeko, Stevan Jovetic and Vincent Kompany. Spurs defender Danny Rose was sent off with a straight red card at 50th minute for his rude challenge on Edin Dzeko.

  Chelsea missed the chance to go above Arsenal, after the Blues were held 0-0 by the defensive West Ham United at Stamford Bridge. West Ham goalkeeper Adrian produces several impressive saves to maintain clean sheet for the visitors.

  Sunderland climbed out from Relegation Zone for the first time since August 2013. The Black Cats beaten Stoke City 1-0 at Stadium of Light, with Adam Johnson's only goal at 17th minute.

  Aston Villa came back to win 4-3 against West Brom Albion at Villa Park. Villa were left 2-0 at behind at only 9th minute of the match. Andreas Weimann, Leandro Bacuna, Fabian Delph and Christian Benteke struck to helped Villa to earn full three points and their third home victory of the season.

  Juan Mata shined in his first match in Manchester United. The Spanish midfielder transferred from Chelsea to United with club-record 37.1 million pound few days ago. Robin Van Persie opened the scoring at 6th minute, which was his first goal after recovered from long term injury. At 59th minute, Mata assisted Ashley Young to struck United's second goal from 25-yards to seal the victory. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's return to Old Trafford end up with his team remained at the bottom of EPL Table.

  Arsenal were held 2-2 by Southampton at St Mary's Stadium. Adam Lallana struck the crucial equalizer, to help the Saints draw 2-2 with the ten-men Gunners. Mathieu Flamini was sent off at 80th minute for a two-footed challenge on Morgan Schneiderlin.

  Liverpool saw off Everon 4-0 at Anfield. Daniel Sturridge struck twice, but he missed the chance to score hat-trick when he missed to convert the penalty at 54th minute.

  Arsenal, Man City, Liverpool, Swansea, Cardiff, Hull, Saints, Sunderland, Everton and Chelsea marched on to FA Cup Fifth Round after gained victory in the Fourth Round battles respectively.
  Both Crystal Palace and Stoke City are two Premier League teams being eliminated in FA Cup Fourth Round.
  Manchester City came back from two goals behind, to beat Watford 4-2 at Etihad Stadium. Sergio Agüero scored hat-trick and Aleksandar Kolarov struck an 87th minute late goal to seal the victory for the Citizen.
  Oscar scored the only goal for Chelsea at 27th minute to seal the victory. The Brazilian midfielder believed was Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho's preferred player, comparing Juan Mata who was transferred to Manchester United.
  Everton enjoyed a 4-0 away victory against Stevenage, however Bryan Oviedo suffered a broken leg injury after being brought down by Stevenage midfielder Simon Heslop. The serious injured Toffees midfielder was taken to hospital directly.

  Sunderland marched on to Capital One Cup finals after beaten Manchester United in both Semi Finals tiers. The Black Cats defeated United 2-1 at the Stadium of Light during first leg of the Semi Finals. In the dramatic second leg tier, Johnny Evans scored a header at 37th minute, to bring the match into extra time.
  At 119th minute, Sunderland seems about to win the match when defender Phil Bardsley fired a goal to the lower left corner, following De Gea's mistake. Just a few seconds before extra time was ended, Javier Hernández struck and brought the game to penalties shoot out.
  During the dramatic penalties shoot out, United only managed to score one of the five spot-kicks, with Darren Fletcher was the only scorer. Sunderland players converted two penalties through Marcos Alonso and Ki Sung-Yeung's efforts. It's enough for the Black Cats to march on the 2013/14 Capital Cup Finals playing against Manchester City.

  Manchester City sunk West Ham United with aggregate 9-0 in both Semi-Finals tiers.

  Kevin Mirallas put Everton ahead at 41th minute through a right footed shot from close range, assisted by Romelu Lukaku with a headed pass. Albion defender Diego Lugano struck the equalizer for the hosts at 75th minute, through a header into the top right corner of the net.

  Newcastle ended their three-match losing run, after they saw off West Ham United 3-1 at Upton Park. Yohan Cabaye struck a goal at each interval while Loïc Remy scored his 11th Premier League goal of the season to ensure the comfortable away victory for the Toon.

  Emmanuel Adebayor opened the scoring at 35th minute, when he headed in his first goal from close range, after he found Christian Eriksen's precise pin-point cross. At 53rd minute, Spurs defender Kyle Walker's cross was diverted by Swansea defender Chico into his own net.
  Emmanuel Adebayor struck the third goal for Tottenham at 71st minute following a counter attack. Danny Rose's cross found Adebayor at the front, as the striker calmly shot from the centre of the box past Swansea keeper Gerhard Tremmel to the bottom right corner.
  Wilfried Bony scored a consolation goal for Swansea at seven minutes later. With Roland Lamah delivered a brilliant cross from the edge of the box, Bony made a fine finished to curl the ball beyond Spurs keeper Hugo Lloris into the net. The Swansea striker almost struck during 25th minute os the first half, before he's right footed shot from outside the box hitting the bar. However, Bony's efforts were not sufficient for the hosts to earn any point.

  Eto added another goal just before first half was ended. With Ramires sent a cross to Gary Cahill at the right side, the Chelsea defender delivered the ball to Eto, before he fired the shot to the centre of the goal past the helpless United keeper De Gea.
  The Man of The Match Samuel Eto'o earned his third goal at beginning of the second half. After Gary Cahill's header was saved by De Gea on the line, Eto shot the rebound from close range to the centre of the goal.

  Defender Dejan Lovren made it double for Southampton at 31st minute. Lovren met Steven Davis's corner cross and volleyed the ball past the goalkeeper Vito Mannone into the bottom left corner.
  Few seconds later, Adam Johnson's sent a brilliant cross to Fabio Borini's path. The Sunderland midfielder shot from the centre of the box past Saints keeper Artur Boruc who failed to stop the ball using his hand.
  Sunderland made some effective changes during second half, with the introduction of Craig Gardner and Jack Colback to replace Lee Cattermole and Sebastian Larsson at 62nd minute.
  At 71st minute, Adam Johnson scored the crucial equalizer for Sunderland, assisted by Craig Gardner. Gardner sent a precise pass to Johnson on the right and the last week hat-tricks hero fired a high shot to the top right corner of the net
  Sunderland almost claimed a late winner at five minutes later.   First half was ended goalless, after goalkeepers from both ends made some brilliant saves to block on-target shots.
  Arsenal managed to break the deadlock at 57th minute when Santiago Cazorla struck the opening goal, assisted by Jack Wilshere. Olivier Giroud and Jack Wilshere brought the ball to the left side, before Wilshere drilled the ball to Cazorla. The superb midfielder curled the ball past Fulham keeper Maarten Stekelenburg to the bottom right corner.
  Five minutes later, Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal's cross was blocked by Dan Burn. However the Fulham Defender's header was bounced to Santiago Cazorla's route outside the box area. Cazorla left footed shot the ball to the bottom right corner of the net.
  Former Arsenal trainee Steve Sidwell was having two shot on-target being blocked by Gunners keeper Wojciech Szczesny. At 26th minute, the ball was dropped to Sidwell at the edge of the box. The Fulham midfielder made a superb half-volley however Szczesny tipped it with one hand over the bar. At 75th minute, Sidwell's another shot on-target was blocked by Szczesny once again.

  Puncheon who missed to score penalty last weekend, managed to fired a low shot passed Stoke defender Ryan Shawcross into the bottom left corner to seal the victory. Palace climbed up to 16th place, away from their bottom position after last week defeat to the Spurs.

  Edin Dzeko opened the scoring at 14th minute, which is Manchester City's 100th goal of the season in all competitions. David Silva brought the ball the the left and cross to Dzeko at the back. The Bosnian forwarder made the remarkable strike from close range from the net. Although it seems Cardiff defender Kevin McNaughton might has stopped the ball, Goal Decision System showed the ball had already crossed the line.
  At 29th minute, Craig Noone struck a stunning equalizer for the visitors. After Noone got Aron Gunnarsson's pass at the right channel, the Cardiff City midfielder tricked City Captain Vincent Kompany and shot from the centre of the box to the bottom right corner of the net.
  Four minutes later, Jesús Navas helped City to lead in the scoring board again. Yaya Touré and Edin Dzeko setting up the goal, and Dzeko's attempt was blocked. The ball bounced towards Navas's path before the midfielder shot from the centre of the box to the top left corner.
  At 76th minute, Man of The Match Yaya Touré scored City's third goal, assisted by Sergio Agüero. Touré fired the ball from the centre of the box, low past Cardiff keeper David Marshall.
  Three minute later, Sergio Agüero struck the fourth goal for Manchester City, this time assisted by Yaya Touré. After Touré drill the ball to the right route, Agüero brought the ball and tricked Cardiff defender Steven Caulker before he shot to the top left corner.
  Fraizer Campbell added a goal for Cardiff during stoppage time, assisted by the recent signing Magnus Wolff Eikrem. However, this is not enough for Cardiff to over turn the results.

  Loïc Remy added another goal for Newcastle at 33rd minute, assisted by Moussa Sissoko. Sissoko delivered a cross near Remy's path, the Toon top scorer took the ball and controlled on his chest and before he shot from a close range passed West Ham keeper Adrian towards the bottom left corner.
  Michael Williamson accidently scored an own goal just few seconds before first half was ended. West Ham forwarder Carlton Cole found Razvan Dinca Rat's cross, and sent the ball towards keeper Tim Krul's direction. Newcastle defender Williamson final touch the ball before it actual went into the net.

  Arsenal defeated Aston Villa 2-1 at Villa Park, to reclaim their top place position in EPL Table. Jack Wilshere scored the Gunners' first goal and assisted Olivier Giroud to struck the second goal within a minute.
  Christian Benteke managed to headed in the only goal for Aston Villa at 76th minute, after he got Matthew Lowton's brilliant pass. However Villa failed to score an equaliser to get any point.

  Manchester City earned another comfortable away victory after beaten Newcastle 2-0 at James' Park. Edin Dzeko put the City ahead at only 8th minute, and Álvaro Negredo contributed another goal during deep stoppage time to seal the final results as 2-0.

  Liverpool saw off Stoke City 5-3, with super top scorer Luis Suárez struck two goals and the recovered Daniel Sturridge scored the late goal at 87th minute.

The match was delayed when Demel was having about ten minutes of treatment from the medical staff. George McCartney replaced Guy Demel after the defender was taken to hospital following suspected broken elbow and facial injuries.
  At 42nd minute, Carlton Cole's goal gave West Ham into the lead. Three minutes before first half was ended, the Hammers midfielder Matt Taylor's pass picked out Matt Jarvis inside the box area. Jarvis made a precise crossed for Cole to slot home past Cardiff keeper David Marshall to the top left corner of the net.

  Steve Sidwell struck Fulham's only goal at 52nd minute. Damien Duff made a precise pinpoint corner cross and Sidwell headed it to the bottom left corner to bring Fulham back into the contest.
  At 69th minute, Adam Johnson scored his second goal through a difficult angle, assisted by Ki Sung-Yueng. Following a fast break, Ki delivered a fabulous pass to Johnson at front.   Luis Suárez and Manuel Pellegrini were awarded with the Barclays Player of the Month Award and the Barclays Manager of the Month Award respectively, for their outstanding performances during December 2013.
  This is Luis Suárez's first Barclays Premier League Player of the Month Award in his career. He scored ten goals within seven Premier League matches and assisted in another four of Liverpool's goals. The in-form striker fired four goals in Liverpool's 5-1 victory against Norwich. In Liverpool's following matches againts West Ham United, Tottenham and Cardiff, the Uruguayan struck two goals in each match.
  Suárez is the first player in EPL history to reach double figures in a calendar month with 10 goals during December 2013. He is the second Liverpool striker who won Barclays Premier League Player of the Month award in this season.

  Manuel Pellegrini has lead Manchester City to win six Premier Leagues matches and draw one during December 2013. This is the first time Pellegrini was awarded with the Barclays Premier League Manager of the Month honour. He was the first Chilean who won the award.
  Pellegrini was appointed as Manchester City first team manager since June 2013. He guided City to claim nineteen points during December, included four home victories, two away win and the only draw game with Southampton. The Citizen also has a remarkable 6-3 huge victory against Arsenal at Etihad Stadium. Now Manchester City are sitting at the second place of the Premier League table, with only one point behind leaders Arsenal.

  West Brom Albion officially appointed Pepe Mel as Head coach, to replace Steve Clarke, who was departed almost one month ago. The former Spanish striker has signed a 18-months contract with West Brom.
  Pepe Mel started as football player at Real Madrid Youth and retired at year 1998 when he was 35 years old. In year 1999, Mel begun his coach career at Coslada in Madrid before he in-charge of different teams in subsequent years.
  Since year 2010, he was coach at Betis and brought the team to seventh place and qualification to the UEFA Europa League. The 50 years old Spanish departed with Betis during December 2013, before he join Premier League team West Brom Albion.

  Cardiff City Football Club officially appointed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as their first team manager. The former Manchester United striker has signed a one year rolling contract with the Welsh football club.
  Cardiff City has departed with their former manager Malky Mackay on 27/Dec/13 following their 3-0 defeat to Southampton, and assigned David Kerslake as care-taker.
  A statement in the Cardiff City FC website reads: "Cardiff City Football Club are delighted to announce that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has joined the club as first team manager."
  Solskjaer started his football player career at Clausenengen when he was 16 years old. He joined Norwegian club Molde at year 1995, where he scored 31 goals in 38 appearances.
  The superb striker landed at Premier League in year 1996, when he joined Manchester United. Solskjaer spent eleven years as United forwarder, and famous with his nickname "The Baby-faced Assassin", and his "super sub" nature as he came off the bench to struck numbers of crucial late goals for United to earn remarkable victories.
  The former Norway international retired as football player at August 2007 following serious knee injury.
  He started his coaching career at Manchester United and became the club's reserve team manager at year 2008. Three years later, Solskjaer returned to his former club, Molde as manager. During November 2013, Solskjaer brought Molde to win the Norwegian Cup in the Norwegian Football Cup Final.
  On the fist day of January 2014, Solskjaer was found standing next to Cardiff owner Vincent Tan, during the Welsh club’s 2-0 defeat to Arsenal at Emirates Stadium. The 40-years old was announced as Cardiff City first team manager on the following day.

  At 32nd minute, the Hammers superb midfielder Mark Noble was injured, and replaced by Razvan Dinca Rat. Soon after that, Fulham midfielder Steve Sidwell headed in the equalizer to the high centre of the goal, assisted by Damien Duff with a cross following a corner.
  At two minutes before half-time, Kevin Nolan was sent off after he was shown a straight red card. The West Ham United captain was booked after lashing out and kicking at Fulham defender Fernando Amorebieta.
  This is Nolan's second red card within three weeks, since he was sent off for a rash challenge on Jordan Henderson during Hammers' defeat against Liverpool on 07/Dec/13. Kevin Nolan has been fined two weeks wages or £100,000 for this sending off. He will face a four-match ban following his actions, three for the red card and the fourth due to the totting up procedure.
  Fulham was having more possession after West Ham left with only ten-men. At 66th minute, Scott Parker's brilliant pass fall into the unmarked Dimitar Berbatov. Berbatov immediately shot the ball on-target from close range to the centre of the goal. Scott Parker was named as Man of The Match for his contributions.

  Crystal Palace draw 1-1 with ten-men Norwich at Selhurst Park. Norwich midfielder Leroy Fer was sent off after two times tussle with Palace midfielder Mile Jedinak. After the disappointing match, Palace dropped back to the Premier League bottom three. Norwich slipped one place to 15th place in EPL Table.
  At 39th minute, Norwich forwarder Wes Hoolahan took the ball from Palace defender Danny Gabbidon. Hoolahan combined together with Gary Hooper to teed up Bradley Johnson, who clipped his shot from 20 yards, past Palace goalkeeper Julián Speroni off the post.
  Two minutes later, the Eagles forwarder Marouane Chamakh grabbed Wes Hoolahan by the throat after a battle. Referee gave them a yellow card respectively. Chamakh, was considered lucky to escape from a red card.
  At 43rd minute, Referee awarded penalty to the hosts after Norwich midfielder Leroy Fer pushed Palace midfielder Mile Jedinak in the penalty area from a corner. Again, both players were shown with yellow cards. Jason Puncheon sent John Ruddy the wrong way the bottom right corner, to convert the penalty to deny Bradley Johnson's earlier goal.
  At 82th minute, Leroy Fer was sent off after a two-footed lunge incident on Mile Jedinak. The incident left Norwich with ten-men but made no change to the 1-1 results.
